Why CMTC was established?
CMTC was established to launch the careers of the best new faces that Canada has to offer. Too often aspiring talent have the desire and potential for a career in Modelling and
Acting but are not given the opportunity to be discovered by the career makers in the industry; the Agents, Scouts, Managers and Casting Directors. CMTC creates the right time and place for new models and talent to
be educated, showcased and discovered.
The demand for new Models & Talent is continually growing in every major National & International market. For Agents, the method of discovering new Models & Talent in a country the size of Canada
is severely limited. The costs for each and every Agency to scout nationwide and search for potential Models & Talent is both too costly and too time consuming. Aspiring Models & Talent from small
regional centres experience even more of an obstacle as their direct exposure to experience and industry opportunities is greatly reduced. CMTC brings the World's Top Modelling & Talent
Agents to YOU!
There are four main obstacles aspiring Models and Actors encounter:

Meeting the Right People
The most important person an aspiring model/actor needs is a legitimate agent or manager who believes in them and will represent and promote them to their clientele.

Many potential Models or Actors do not know how to get started, who the reputable agencies are in the industry or what skills and tools are necessary for a National or International career in Modelling
or Acting. CMTC provides the best venue to be educated by Industry Experts and the Agents themselves through the many Seminars and Workshops held throughout convention weekend.

Cost
As with anything worth pursuing, beginning a career in modelling or acting is an investment. However, it should not cost enormous amounts of time and money to find out if you have what it takes to succeed
in the modelling &/or talent industries. The CMTC registration base fee covers the costs of putting together a comprehensive event to showcase aspiring
Models & Talent to the World's Top Modelling & Talent Agents. Consider the cost if you took the initiative and traveled to just one city, for example New York, to meet Agents on your own. It would
cost you thousands of dollars for your flight, accommodations, meals and other traveling expenses. And that is only one market, one city! CMTC provides an inexpensive venue
to be discovered! Other U.S. conventions charge in excess of US$2500.00 for the same opportunity!

Most aspiring Models and Actors do not live in an area that allows easy access to the major Modelling and Talent Agents that can launch their International Modelling or Acting career.
