Facing The Future: Londoners were big winners at Canadian Model & Talent Convention in Toronto

They haven't even graduated from high school yet, but they're already strutting away with top honours in the modelling world.

Last weekend, Cole M., 17, and sisters Justine, 15, and Jessica C., 13, from Anita Norris Models in London received prestigious honours at the Canadian Model & Talent Convention in Toronto. Cole & Justine won overall divisional male and female model awards, respectively, while Jessica received a prize for Photography Competition and Grand Overall Model of the Year.

"I'm happy," says Cole, a student at Catholic Central High School who's been modelling for just over a year. "I worked hard for this and I'm glad I got feedback. It's all positive."

For Justine, who's wanted to be a model since she was a little girl, CMTC was her first major competition.

"It's awesome. It's pretty overwhelming, but you get used to it," said Justine. "And now I have that opportunity to live the dream that I've had for such a long time."

"It feels great. I love it," Jessica said of her wins. She started modelling back in January, following in her sister's footsteps. "I decided I wanted to do modelling with her."

And they're already making waves in the fashion world; the sisters are off to a show next week in Toronto, agency owner Anita Norris said.

"They have a lot of agencies that want to represent them.... there is a frenzy right now," she said. "The convention is a huge stepping stone, and for the amount of attention these kids have received, things will start rolling in. It's sort of a snowball effect. I've always known that London (and area) is a hot bed of great looking talent and models. It's just chock full of good looking people".
