Be a smart consumer! Find out how long the organization has been in business. What is the background of the organizers - do they have authentic and verifiable industry experience? Does the convention or search have success stories to back them up? It is important to note that a reputable organization will not guarantee or promise you success. Be weary of organizations that promise you success simply by attending their event. Know what you are paying for i.e. are you paying to show two snapshots and walk up and down a runway once in front of a handful of agents? Do your research. Do your homework. You should not have to spend thousands to find out if you have what it takes.
