Disney Playhouse and the Family Channel have just picked up the Canadian animated series Stella & Sam for a second season. The first season will air this September. Robbie F., of Picton, is the voice of character Owen and reprise the role in the second season.
Eight year old Annie F. doesn't mind being the centre of attention anymore. The Grade 3 student recently entered the Canadian Model & Talent Convention in Toronto, sweeping up three trophies and receiving five offers from various modelling agencies.

In many ways, child actor Sydney C. is wise beyond her five years. "This isn't gold, it's plastic!" was her response upon being presented a trophy at the 2009 Canadian Model & Talent Convention, laughed her mom, Jodi. That's a typical "Sydney" comment; she tends to see the world through the eyes of a drama queen, Jodi said.

Tinseltown Calling Tamworth Tween
He’s not a household name yet, but it looks like 11-year-old Ben M. may have found the road to stardom. The spiky-haired sixth grader from Tamworth was just crowned child actor of the year at a national talent competition in Toronto. He has an offer to shoot commercials in New York City for the summer and plans to spend next winter in Los Angeles, where he hopes to get cast in a pilot for one of the networks.
Emma came home from a Toronto modelling convention this weekend with four trophies – among them one for overall child model of the year. The Grade 5 pupil at St. Catherine School also made contacts with modelling scouts from as far away as Tokyo during the Canadian Model and Talent Convention.
